Darryl A. Turner, MA

 

Darryl Turner is a staff psychotherapist at The Family Institute. He is a graduate of the Northwestern University Counseling Psychology Master’s Degree Program. While working toward completion of the academic requirements for his Master’s degree, Mr. Turner received two years of clinical training at The Family Institute. During his clinical training, Mr. Turner had the opportunity to provide clinical services to a variety of population groups and to work in several modalities.

 

Prior to joining The Family Institute as a staff psychotherapist, Mr. Turner worked as a clinical case manager at The Family Institute’s Park Boulevard Program, a newly-developed community in Chicago where clinical services were provided to CHA residents engaged in the housing relocation process.

 

Mr. Turner treats individuals, couples, families and those interested in receiving counseling from a Christian perspective.

 

Clinical Interests: Grief and loss; conflict resolution; new career transition/adjustment; self-identity; single parenting; adolescent male mentoring; spirituality/religion; group therapy
