TITLE: Receptionist
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

 

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Full-time receptionist responsible for basic clinical, administrative and office support.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Open/close the facility on a daily basis
• Greets visitors and clients
• Answer main number and direct clients to appropriate resources
• Responsible for reception area and waiting rooms
• Registers new clients and updates information for existing clients
• Checks in clients for appointments
• Distributes incoming mail and fax communications.
• Maintain supplies for outgoing mail and parcels.
• Complete the daily and weekly support tasks list as developed and assigned.
• Provide general clerical support for the front desk.
• Provide general support to the Operations Manager.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/SKILLS:
• Use of hands to answer phones, take messages and transfer calls and to operate office machinery.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time at the reception desk.
• Must be computer savvy with strong communication skills.
• Must be articulate, polished and professional.
• Must have strong administrative skills.
• Ability to multi-task
• Must be able to lift 10 pounds of material repetitively throughout the day.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• High School Degree required.
• 1+ years experience as a receptionist required, previous healthcare experience preferred
• Must be proficient in Word and Microsoft Outlook or an equivalent electronic scheduling system.
• Experience using an electronic medical record is a plus.
