Maru Torres-Gregory, JD, MS, LMFT

Maru is a multi-lingual staff therapist at The Family Institute at Northwestern University, where she completed her clinical internship towards her PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. She is working to earn the Approved Supervisor status from AAMFT.

She received her bachelor degree in Languages and Linguistics from Georgetown University, her Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law and her Master Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. She completed clinical internships at The Brief Therapy Institute and at the Fort Lauderdale Hospital, Child and Adolescent Unit, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

 

Maru is fully bilingual in Spanish and English, and is fluent in Portuguese and French.


Clinical interests: adults; women’s issues; couples; marital conflict; families; adolescents; body image and self-esteem issues; employee assistance programs; relationship issues in general.
