CTA Bus:
There are numerous buses that run past 8 South Michigan Avenue from both the north and the south.

EL Train:
Red line and blue line subway stops: Monroe Street. Walk east on Monroe Street to Michigan Avenue. Walk north on Michigan Avenue to 8 South Michigan Avenue.

Purple, brown or green line el stops: Wabash Avenue and Madison Street. Walk east to Michigan Avenue.

Parking:
Rates will vary according to the garage.

Grant Park North Garage is located at Michigan Avenue and Washington Street.

Evanston Road Construction Update

Public transportation:
For the most current information on available routes using public transportation, call
773-836-7000.

CTA (El) Train:

Take the red line north to Howard Street and switch to the northbound purple line.
Get off at Foster Street and walk east (right) approximately two blocks until you get to Orrington Street.
Walk north (left) on Orrington Street one block to Library Place.
Walk east (right) one half-block on Library Place until you get to 618, which will be the last building to the east on the south side of the street.

Driving instructions from downtown Chicago:

Take Lake Shore Drive north to Hollywood Boulevard, where it turns into Sheridan Road. Continue north on Sheridan Road through Evanston.
When you reach Northwestern University campus, Sheridan Road turns left for about two blocks and then right again by the 3-way intersection with Chicago Avenue.
The first stop light after that is Foster Street (you will have just passed the old Deering Library with a large lawn on your right).
Go one block past Foster Street to Library Place, and turn left.
We are the three story orange brick building just west of the corner parking lot reserved for Northwestern faculty members.

Parking:

Free parking is permitted in the lot directly east of the building after 4:00 pm Monday through Friday, or all day Saturday and Sunday. You will be ticketed if you park there before 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Two-hour street parking is available on near the University for free. The two-hour parking zone applies to east-west streets in Evanston from Emerson Street north to Isabella Street.
We also sell one-day guest permits to Northwestern University C-lots, one of which is located across Sheridan Road by Garrett Seminary. Inquire with the receptionist.

You should allow an extra 10-15 minutes to park.

Driving Instructions From Interstate 294:

Exit at Ogden.
Proceed East on Ogden to LaGrange Road.
Turn left.
Proceed North on LaGrange Road about a quarter of a mile to Homestead Road (you will see a sign for The Village Market).
Turn right on Homestead, then make an immediate right into the parking lot.
Our office is through the glass doors before Blockbuster, on the second floor.

Driving Instructions from the Eisenhower Expressway:

Exit at Manheim.
Proceed south on Manheim (Manheim will become LaGrange Road somewhere south of 22nd Street).
Take LaGrange Road 9/10 of a mile past 31st Street to Homestead Road (you will see a sign for the Village Market).
Turn left on Homestead, then make an immediate right into the parking lot.
Our office is through the glass doors before Blockbuster, on the second floor.

Driving Instructions From Interstate 55:

Exit at LaGrange Road.
Proceed north on LaGrange Road.
Pass through downtown LaGrange.
Proceed about a quarter of a mile past Ogden to Homestead Road (you will see a sign for The Village Market).
Turn right on Homestead, then make an immediate right into the parking lot.
Our office is through the glass doors before Blockbuster, on the second floor.

Free parking is available in The Village Market lot right in front of our office.
