Individuals in midlife years and those who have transitioned into later life face a number of emotional and relational challenges that are unique to each stage. Alongside these challenges lie opportunities to continue to grow and develop.

Helping people understand and address the psychological and family issues inherent in aging is what The Family Institute's Midlife & Beyond Program is all about. It focuses on managing life transitions successfully, so that clients can lead full, productive and enjoyable lives.

Staffed by family psychotherapists who specialize in and understand the challenges of aging across the lifespan, the Midlife & Beyond Program offers the following services:

Educational Services for the Greater Community

  • Educational Seminars explore how midlife and later life changes impact people's sense of identity, relationships and life purpose
  • Networking with other agencies that provide services in this field
