The Nationally-Recognized Staff Practice of The Family Institute
More than 30 licensed psychotherapists - all with advanced training and many with extensive experience - offer comprehensive services to individuals, couples and families at locations throughout metropolitan Chicago. Each of our respected and caring professionals specializes in specific issues so that clients are matched with an expert in a particular area of care. Teams of psychotherapists are also available for clinical consultation on certain cases, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to clients. Many of our distinguished psychotherapists at The Institute hold faculty appointments at Northwestern University, Department of Psychology, and instruct graduate-level courses in marital and family therapy and/or counseling psychology.

Postgraduate Clinical Fellows of The Family Institute
Clinical Fellows are postgraduate professionals who are completing a two-year commitment of advanced training in marital and family therapy under the supervision of Family Institute clinical staff. Clinical Fellows treat children, adolescents, adults, individuals, couples and families on a sliding scale fee at The Family Institute's Bette D. Harris Family and Child Clinic in Evanston, Chicago and LaGrange Park.

Affiliate Psychotherapists of The Family Institute
As an extension of our Staff Practice and to provide the best possible services to our clients, The Family Institute has engaged a select group of 25 highly-qualified consultants in 15 metropolitan Chicago satellite locations. These specialists include psychiatrists, counseling psychologists, marriage and family therapists and social workers who have been carefully selected by The Family Institute for their expertise in treating families, couples, individuals, children and teens.

Several of our affiliates are graduates of the Northwestern University Master in Marital and Family Therapy Program with clinical training at The Family Institute.
