Greg B.A. Friedman, PhD

Greg Friedman is a licensed clinical psychologist at The Family Institute at Northwestern University. Dr. Friedman is a clinical lecturer in Northwestern University's Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy Program.

He received his PhD from the University of Nebraska in 1979 and completed his internship at McLean Hospital (Harvard Medical School). He was later selected as a fellow in the post-doctoral training program in clinical psychology at The Menninger Foundation.

Since his work as a fellow, he has held numerous positions at leading mental health facilities throughout Chicago. He was the director of the rehabilitation program (psychiatry), extended ambulatory care, with the Institute of Psychiatry at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Moving to Four Winds-Chicago, he became clinical leader, director of psychological assessment and coordinator of research. Most recently he was the director of psychology and director of ambulatory care at The Rock Creek Center, a psychiatric hospital, and director of research and training at The Rock Creek Center Foundation.

Dr. Friedman treats adult individuals and couples and adolescents. His research interests include treatment outcomes and client satisfaction.
