Eric Beeson, Ph.D., LCP, core faculty member in the Counseling@Northwestern program at The Family Institute, has recently been awarded the prestigious NCACES Research Award by the North Central Association for Counselor Education and Supervision.  

This award is presented in recognition of Dr. Beeson's excellent research contributions in the areas of neurocounseling, sense of community and collegiate recovery programs. For his project titled "An exploration of sense of community among online graduate students," Dr. Beeson was awarded a research grant from 2U, Inc. 

Described as a "research extraordinaire" by his colleagues, Dr. Beeson has authored and contributed to various journal articles and book chapters/sections in the field. He is also a founding Co-Associate Editor of the Neurocounseling section of the Journal of Mental Health Counseling.
