Nancy Burgoyne, PhD, LCP

Nancy Burgoyne,PhD, is a Clinical Lecturer in the Dept. of Psychology, Core Faculty member of the Marriage and Family Therapy Program in the Center for Applied Psychological and Family Studies, a staff therapist at The Family Institute at Northwestern University and a licensed clinical psychologist.

Dr. Burgoyne received her bachelor's degree in Human Development from Boston College, and her masters and doctoral degrees in clinical-community psychology from DePaul University, where she was an Arthur J. Schmidt Academic Fellow. Dr. Burgoyne did her internship and post graduate work in The Family Systems Program at the Institute for Juvenile Research, University of Illinois.

Dr. Burgoyne is a member of The American Psychological Association, Division 43, Family Psychology. She treats families, couples and adults.

Clinical Interests: intimacy and conflict with couples, especially couples with a history of trauma, and couples with mixed cultural heritage; cultural transition; adolescent and young adult females and their families; families with school age children.
