The Family Institute is moving to a new location. Starting September 26, in-person appointments will no longer take place at the 8 S. Michigan Ave location. All in-person appointments will temporarily be held via teletherapy (unless special arrangements have been made with your clinician). Starting October 11, 2024, all in-person appointments will resume at our new location at 444 N. Michigan Ave.

Currently, The Family Institute is located in the Willoughby Tower building at 8 S. Michigan Ave., right across the street from Grant Park and the Bean.

For your first appointment, check-in with reception located on the 10th floor. We are two doors south on Michigan Avenue from the intersection of Michigan and Madison.

Parking
Convenient parking is available across the street from our office at the Grant Park North Parking Garage. Entrance to the garage is accessible from Michigan Avenue, heading north (Madison) and south (Randolph).
 
Reminder: the last day for appointments at this location is September 25. All appointments will take place remotely through October 10 (unless special arrangements have been made with your clinician), and will resume in-person at our new 444 N. Michigan Avenue office starting October 11.

Check In/Building Access

For your appointment, you will arrive through the Michigan Ave entrance (next to Hoka and Coach stores) and check-in with security on the first floor. From there you will be directed to the elevators that will take you to our office on the 30th floor. Upon entering The Family Institute’s office, you will be greeted by a member of our Client Care Team who will help you complete the check-in process.

There are three parking lots conveniently located near our office that clients can utilize:
 
  • 10 E Grand - Located at Grand & Wabash (above Hilton Garden Inn)
  • 516 N Rush - Located beneath Nordstrom with indoor access to Michigan Avenue
  • 430 N Rush - Outside parking lot at Rush and Illinois Street

Clients of The Family Institute will receive a discounted parking rate of $12 for three hours. Please see our Client Care team at the reception desk to receive validation.
