If you are an educator or healthcare professional who has experienced:

  • Compassion Fatigue
  • Mental Exhaustion
  • Pandemic Burnout
  • Feelings of Hopelessness/Helplessness

Join clinicians from our Mindfulness & Behavior Therapies Program for a day of connection, restoration, and reconciliation within a care-conscious community.

BEAM (Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective) defines wellness as, “cultivating our relationship to our emotional and psychological selves that fosters tenderness, liberation and joy”. This program is an opportunity for educators and healthcare professionals to explore the interconnectedness of their mind, body, and emotions through various group-based and individual wellness practices. Breathworkmovement, and meditation are core components of the day’s practices to establish a foundation for interpersonal growth and transformation.

  • Disconnect from “doing” and reconnect to “being”.
  • Release tension and stress through guided mindful movement.
  • Enhance your senses to stay grounded in the here-and-now.
  • Reset personal limits to improve clarity and concentration.

Carve out the intention to practice coming back to yourself with a kind curiosity; inviting your whole self to rest in awareness and reclaim balance at our healing care event.

  • When: Friday, August 25 | 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
  • Where: The Family Institute at Northwestern University | 618 Library Pl, Evanston, IL 60201
  • Cost: $100

Note: Lunch will be provided for all participants. Yoga mats and seated cushions are welcome but not required.
