Are you a parent or caregiver who wants help apologizing to your child?
If so, we'd like to invite you to consider our online research study, Exploring the Benefits of Parental Apologies to Their Children. Here is a brief overview of what participation would involve:
- You will be given instructions to prepare a personalized apology to deliver to your child.
- You will meet with a researcher to review and revise your apology before delivering the apology.
- You will be asked to complete an initial questionnaire that should take 10 minutes to complete prior to preparing and delivering the apology.
- After delivering your apology, you will be asked to complete a follow-up questionnaire that should take 10 minutes.
- All data collection will be done through online surveys.Your total participation should last approximately one hour over one month.
- You also have the option of participating in an additional 30-minute interview and having your child (if 12 years old or older) participate by completing two 15-minute surveys.
- There is no compensation for participation in this study.
To participate, you must be 18 years old or older, proficient in English, have access to internet and video conferencing capabilities, and identify as a parent or caregiver.
