About
I believe that relationships are an integral part of the human experience. Relationships have the power to hurt, but more importantly the power to heal. I humbly approach the relationship with my clients and hope that in a safe and collaborative environment, each person's meaning-making and identity journey will continue to evolve.
Anni-Ming Larson, M.S. (she/her) is a therapist with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University. During her clinical training, Anni-Ming collaborated with couples, individuals, children and families on conflict resolution, emotional regulation, grief and loss, and identity work. In addition to her clinical training at the Bette D. Harris Clinic, she served children and families in the Evanston community through the Community Program. Anni-Ming took a culturally humble approach to meet clients in the community where they were, recognizing power imbalances and the larger systemic issues at play.
Anni-Ming also brings prior experience working with survivors of domestic violence and in the field of family law with a humanistic approach — areas that continue to be deep passions and sources of insight in her clinical work. These experiences have shaped her understanding of the complexities families face and allow her to approach therapy with a broader, more trauma-informed and justice-oriented lens. She is especially attuned to issues of power, safety, and resilience within relationships, and she integrates this awareness into her work with individuals, couples, and families.
Anni-Ming blends multiple therapeutic models to provide personalized care for individuals, couples, and families, with a strong emphasis on relational therapy practices. Guided by values of curiosity, openness, authenticity, and humor, she creates a therapeutic space that invites collaboration and connection. Anni-Ming believes meaningful change happens within relationships and is committed to helping clients explore their patterns, build resilience, and deepen understanding within themselves and with others.
