Teletherapy will remain an option

Illinois entered Phase 5 of its reopening plan several weeks ago, though The Family Institute remains a 100% teletherapy practice at this time with in-person neuropsychological testing being determined on a case-by-case basis.

We are working to fully open our offices to our clients for in-person therapy starting September 7. At that time, all on-premises staff and students will be vaccinated against COVID-19.

We know that many of you are looking forward to receiving care in-person. For in-person care, we will require clients ages 12+ to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and clients ages 11 and under to wear masks.

Many of our clients have expressed interest in the continued availability of teletherapy services or for anyone not vaccinated — know that teletherapy will continue to be an option, as it is an empirically supported and effective mode of treatment.

As we get closer to September, you will hear more from us about the new health and safety measures that will be in place in our office locations. In addition, you and your therapist will discuss options and logistics when both in-person and teletherapy are available to identify what is right for you.

All of us at The Family Institute are committed to providing you with the highest quality care.
