TFI’s On-Ground Counseling Program Named Program of the Year

The Family Institute at Northwestern University (TFI) is proud to announce that its on-ground Master of Arts in Counseling Program is the proud recipient of the 2016 Leo G. Bent Outstanding Professional Counseling Program in Illinois Award by the Illinois Counseling Association (ICA). This award recognizes outstanding counseling programs that demonstrate a history of exemplary counseling, and place emphases on ethical and state-of-the-art counseling practices. The award was conferred at the ICA’s 68th Annual Conference held in Springfield, Illinois.

The Master of Arts in Counseling Program is a nationally renowned program that is dedicated to the cutting-edge preparation of tomorrow’s counselors. The program is founded upon four pillars of excellence: Innovative teaching and pioneering research in the highly collaborative environment that is Northwestern University; A dynamic clinical training environment that integrates education, research and clinical services; A traditional counseling foundation; and the Program’s historical perspective, with historical roots in counseling Psychology.
