About

Danyah Tarabulsi (she/her) is a counselor who is rooted in genuineness, collaboration, and collective growth. Ms Tarabulsi earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. Specializing in children and adolescents, Ms Tarabulsi has received training that has equipped her to support individuals across different developmental stages and the broader life span.

The top priority in Ms Tarabulsi’s practice is creating a safe, affirming environment where clients feel heard and empowered. She believes that therapy works best when it is built on a genuine and collaborative relationship - grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Rather than positioning herself as someone with all the answers, Ms Tarabulsi views therapy as a space where we learn together and from one another.

Ms Tarabulsi’s style is primarily informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), helping clients understand the connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to create meaningful, lasting change. She also has experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and psychodynamic principles that she integrates into her practice, tailoring her approach to meet each person’s individual needs.

Whether you’re looking for support in navigating specific challenges, or you’re looking to enter therapy to build new skills and coping mechanisms. Ms Tarabulsi strives to foster a therapeutic space grounded in empathy and nonjudgmentalness. Further, she values and emphasizes understanding the intersectionalities of different identities and unique experiences, to help understand her clients on a deeper and more holistic level. Together, we can explore what matters most to you and work towards the life you want to build.
