Emily Perepa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She completed an Attachment and Trauma Fellowship with The Baby Fold Adoption Support and Preservation Program which included training in Trust Based Relational InterventionⓇ (TBRIⓇ), TheraplayⓇ Level 1, and Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Ms. Perepa uses TBRIⓇ and other trauma informed parenting strategies to help parents create healing environments for their families. She is an Internationally Credentialed Sandtray Therapist and is trained to use this modality with children, adolescents, adults and families.
Ms. Perepa’s specialties include emotional regulation, early childhood trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, school stress and supporting children and families through life transitions. She uses a mixture of modalities with clients, working to create a comfortable and collaborative environment.
