About
If you are ready to radically change how you relate to your thoughts and feelings and begin living a life aligned with your goals, values, and commitments, I am ready to accompany you on that journey, step by step.
Jack Egan, M.A. (he/him) has an orientation that is rooted in an open and empathetic therapeutic relationship. Jack believes creating a space for deeply human acceptance is the cornerstone for all lasting change. Jack has been rigorously trained in a variety of third-wave modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP). As a social worker, Jack’s perspective and understanding is deeper than just the individual and situates all behavior within a broader, socially and culturally informed context. He earned an M.A. in social work from the University of Chicago's Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy & Practice and a B.S.W. from Skidmore College. Outside of work, as a proud social worker, Jack can be found advocating for social justice and liberation within Chicagoland and beyond.
