About

Jamie Fleury, M.A. (she/her), is a Postgraduate Fellow at The Family Institute at Northwestern University who specializes in helping couples, families, and individuals strengthen their relationships—with others and with themselves. She is passionate about supporting clients navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, identity development, trauma, anxiety, and depression. Jamie also welcomes couples considering the future of their relationship through discernment counseling, families navigating conflict or divorce, and clients from diverse relationship structures, including consensual non-monogamous partnerships. As a Latina and LGBTQ+ therapist, she has a special interest in working with the LGBTQIA+ community and those navigating multicultural identities and experiences.

Jamie earned her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University and holds dual bachelor's degrees in Legal Studies and Multimedia Journalism from Grand Valley State University. Before becoming a therapist, she worked in journalism and law, experiences that continue to inform her systemic perspective and commitment to social justice. Her clinical training has included work with adolescents, adults, couples, families, and therapy groups across private practice and nonprofit settings. Jamie takes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from systemic, relational, and psychodynamic perspectives to meet each client's unique needs. She believes meaningful change comes from balancing insight with self-compassion while approaching ourselves and our relationships with curiosity rather than judgment. Together, clients can better understand the patterns that shape their lives and create more authentic, connected ways of relating to themselves and others.
