Dr. Cohn received his Ph.D. in Family Therapy from Saint Louis University School of Medicine and holds an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. His dissertation used Terror Management Theory to investigate the reactions of therapists of all disciplines to transgender clients. Dr. Cohn completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in couple and family therapy at The Family Institute, where he served as Chief Fellow and as a member of Erika Lawrence’s Violence Intervention Project. Currently, Dr. Cohn is involved in the development of a project to investigate the efficacy of integrative systemic approaches to therapy.
Dr. Cohn has served as secretary of the Saint Louis Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
